Deutsch to Serve as 2014 PRSA-LA President

January 4, 2014 -- ExcelPR Group Principal Erik Deutsch has been selected to serve as 2014 president of the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA). In his new role he will lead the organization's 25-member board of directors and oversee all chapter functions and activities. PRSA-LA serves as the voice for public relations professionals across greater Los Angeles. Members include in-house and independent practitioners at corporations, academic institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. It is one of PRSA's founding chapters and among the largest in the nation.


ExcelPR Group Retained by Government of Shenzhen, China for CES Project

December 11, 2013 -- ExcelPR Group has expanded its roster of international economic development clients by adding the North American Representative Office of Schenzhen, Peoples Republic of China. ExcelPR will work with mainland China's first permanent overseas representative office to promote the Schenzhen region's manufacturing capabilities and homegrown technology at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. As part of its assignment, ExcelPR will facilitate outrach between high-ranking Shenzhen officials and U.S. consumer electronics firms seeking to build or expand operations in China's Guangdong Province. Located just north of Hong Kong, Shenzhen is the global center for electronics manufacturing, with factories on a scale unmatched anywhere in the world. More than 340 Shenzhen-based firms will be represented in the exhibition hall at CES.


ExcelPR Lands "Now Boarding" Airport Architecture Exhibition

March 4, 2013 - ExcelPR Group has been tapped to manage publicity and social media outreach for "Now Boarding: Fentress Airports + The Architecture of Flight"-- the first international exhibition on airport architecture and design. "Now Boarding" made its debut at the Denver Art Museum and will begin its four-month L.A. run on April 3rd at the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica. Deutsch Discusses Social Media for Regulated Industries at SMCLA

July 25, 2012 -- ExcelPR Group Principal Erik Deutsch has been invited by Social Media Club Los Angeles (SMCLA) to speak at its July 30th panel event examining social media's role in regulated industries such as healthcare, biotech and financial services. Deutsch Tapped for Digital Hollywood Panel

April 19, 2011 - ExcelPR Group Principal Erik Deutsch will discuss the evolving role of social media in crisis communications during a panel discussion May 4th at the Digital Hollywood Conference. February 17, 2011 - ExcelPR Group has been retained by the California Film Commission (CFC) to build awareness and support for programs aimed at helping keep the state production-friendly. Much of the focus will be on highlighting the impact of the California Film & Television Tax Credit, which was enacted in 2009 to address runaway production. ExcelPR Group won the account via a competitive RFP process. The agency previously represented FilmL.A. (the Los Angeles region's film office) for more than three years through a comprehensive PR and rebranding campaign. ExcelPR Group Principal Erik Deutsch said he's delighted the agency has become "typecast" in the role of helping the Golden State retain one of its signature industries.


ExcelPR Group Expands Hi-Tech Roster

Deutsch Elected PRSA-LA Vice President

December 28, 2009 - ExcelPR Group Principal Erik Deutsch has been elected to serve as 2010 vice president of the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA). PRSA is the world's largest and most prestigious association for public relations professionals. Founded in 1948, the Los Angeles chapter is among the largest in the nation, boasting more than 500 members. Erik will also serve on the organization's three-member Advocacy Committee, which is charged with promoting positive awareness of the PR industry and its contribution to the L.A. region's economy.

October 25, 2007 -- For the second year in a row, ExcelPR Group was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America - Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA) with the prestigious PRism Award.

The agency earned top honors in the Media Writing category for its series of advertorials titled “Biotech’s Best Kept Secret.” The advertorials were created for the Italian Trade Commission (ITC) to promote foreign investment in Italy’s biotech sector.
